These colourful and fluid abstract paintings represent my fascination with the chaos in one's life, no matter how carefully planned. Working with acrylic and acrylic inks  I allow the flow to 'do its own thing' layer upon layer, creating organic forms. This creates a rapport with me as I domesticate the fluid chaos, influencing the focus of the work. The intuitive, bold, and energetic paintings are a synergistic process of letting go, then transforming the spontaneous gestural abstractions into images of significance. The sculptural objects are made from paintings to juxtapose the abstraction with the tangible, in a way to physically control the ethereal.
